Snowy weather puts game in doubt
The unseasonable snowy weather that has affected North Staffordshire could affect Port Vale’s home game against Aldershot on Saturday.
According to weather forecasts, further snow is expected and should it continue to snow that will put Vale’s game in doubt. The conditions could potentially freeze the pitch and also make it too hazardous for fans and officials to get the game.
However, there is no news on any potential pitch inspection at the time of publication.
Any postponement would be seen as a blow with Vale desperate to build on their away win against York City.
An article on the official Port Vale website commented: “The weather may yet have a say in whether or not the game here at Vale park goes ahead, with more snow being forecast to fall between now and Saturday afternoon.
“The players are all keeping their fingers crossed the game can go ahead as the last thing they want is extra mid-week fixtures thrown in before the end of the season.”
