Griffith rejoins the Valiants
Port Vale FC have confirmed that battling midfielder Anthony Griffith has rejoined the club until the end of the season.
Griffith, who left for Leyton Orient in the summer, has signed on loan until the end of the season.
Manager Micky Adams told the official Port Vale website: “Griff’s battling qualities are an asset to any squad and he will be no stranger to Vale fans as a former Player of the Year.
“He knows the club and he knows the majority of the players which will help him to settle in quickly and hit the ground running.”
Griffith was signed by former manager Lee Sinnott in 2008 and was a regular in his first season. He fell out of favour with Sinnott’s replacement Dean Glover, but came back into the reckoning under Micky Adams.
The 26 year-old was named captain of Montserratt in 2011 and was Vale’s player of the year in 2010.
This season, Griffith has made 22 starts and six sub appearances for League One side Orient.
