Vale suffer double injury blow
Port Vale Reserves’ 0-0 draw with Burton Albion was not without incident as Vale suffered injuries to two squad players.
Young defender Joe Davis was forced off with a knee injury on 37 minutes while winger Ryan Lloyd departed with an ankle injury on 85 minutes.
Vale had named a strong Reserve side with Rob Taylor and Louis Dodds both returning from their recent injuries to feature in the starting line-up.
Tuesday’s game was played at the FA’s National Football Academy – St George’s Park with manager Micky Adams and assistant Mark Grew both casting an eye over proceedings.
