Adams: We got what we deserved
Manager Micky Adams has pulled no punches in his assessment of Vale’s home performance against Exeter saying “We’re as frustrated by it as the supporters are.”
We’re not getting into the right areas to score goals and that was as quiet a performance as I’ve seen from a Port Vale side this season…
Vale lost their second home game in a row on tuesday and Adams admitted that the side need to present a more potent goal threat.
Adams commented: “We’ve lost the last two home games and we’ll have to find different avenues and ways to play here.
“We’re as frustrated by it as the supporters are.
“It’s a little bit baffling, I have to say, particularly when you consider the performance we put in at Torquay United on Saturday.
“I was disappointed because we just never got going and we got what we deserved in the end, which was nothing.
“We’re not getting into the right areas to score goals and that was as quiet a performance as I’ve seen from a Port Vale side this season.
“But while we’ve lost another game, we’ll pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and get on with it.”
