Pope hails ‘best manager’ Adams
Port Vale’s top scorer Tom Pope has heaped praise on manager Micky Adams telling the Daily Mail that “he’s the best manager for me, he’s very disciplined and he keeps my feet on the ground”.
Hopefully there are going to be some real good times ahead…
In a long-ranging interview with the national newspaper, Pope praises the Valiants’ squad spirit saying “I think the administration has had a massive effect on the togetherness of the squad. It has brought everybody together, even the players that the gaffer signed in the summer.
“Everyone had written us off and I think that’s why we started the season so well. There’s no pressure on us, we didn’t know whether we were going to be getting paid not so long ago. The togetherness of it has been fantastic and I think that has gradually showed.”
And Vale fan Pope is optimistic that things are looking up for Vale commenting: “Hopefully there are going to be some real good times ahead like there were in the 90’s.”
