Chilvers boost for Vale
Port Vale have confirmed that central defender Liam Chilvers has agreed to stay with the club until the end of the season.
There’s nothing flashy about his game and he doesn’t get many headlines, but we’re pleased to get him…
Chilvers’ original short-term deal expired on the 6th January but Micky Adams told the Sentinel: “Liam has signed a contract to the end of the season and we’re happy with that.
“We know what he’s capable of doing. He’s a steady Eddie. There’s nothing flashy about his game and he doesn’t get many headlines, but we’re pleased to get him, particularly with the injury to John McCombe.”
Chilvers joins Joe Davis, Clayton McDonald and new signing Darren Purse in competing for a place in central defence against Gillingham on Saturday.
