‘Dead chuffed’ Adams hails ‘rejuvenated’ Dodds
Manager Micky Adams declared himself “delighted” and “dead chuffed” with Port Vale’s table-topping position and paid tribute to goalscorers Louis Dodds and Jennison Myrie-Williams.
The quality of his goal was probably one of the best goals I have seen at this level for a while…
Vale top the League Two table after a 3-2 away win over Dagenham and Adams told the official Port Vale website that: “we’ve got to be delighted to be top of the league going into the New Year and we’re all dead chuffed with that.”
Adams added: “Louis Dodds looks rejuvenated at the moment. He looks a confident boy, and that’s not any credit to me, that’s down to him.
“He started the season fantastically well and the quality of his goal was probably one of the best goals I have seen at this level for a while, the way he took it, and he is capable of doing that.
“Jennison Myrie-Williams has been dying to get on the score sheet and he has finally got a goal – that might cheer him up, but over all we had some decent performances out there today, to a man, they stood tall.”
