Adams hopes goal will ‘kickstart’ Dodds
Manager Micky Adams has praised forward Louis Dodds’ work ethic and added that he hopes his weekend goal will “kickstart” him.
He’s got his goal which will hopefully kickstart him
Dodds broke a drought stretching back fifteen appearances with the equaliser against Cheltenham on Saturday and Adams told the media: “I had a chat with Louis in midweek. He was one of the individuals I pulled to one side.
“He scored two great goals at Fleetwood and he then went 10 games where I’ve picked him and he’s not scored a goal. I was left scratching my head a little bit with him.
“I’ve put him back in there and he has worked hard for the team but also he’s got his goal which will hopefully kickstart him.
“When you have such a fantastic run like we did at the start of the season you go back and look at the teams you picked and the one person who was in the team was Louis Dodds.
“But if you are going to play up front the one thing you need is goals.”
