Supporters Club statement thanks the fans
The Port Vale Supporters Club have issued a statement after the Paul Wildes takeover was completed. It thanks the fans for their support and reminds the supporters that investigations continue into the previous board’s conduct.

“Port Vale Supporters’ Club today pays tribute to the many individuals and organisations who worked tirelessly in recent years to save the Burslem club.
In the light of confirmation of the Football League’s approval for a takeover by Paul Wildes and Norman Smurthwaite, the Supporters’ Club would like to thank everyone who helped to rescue Port Vale from a self-interested few and give fans hope for the future.
The Football League approval is very timely as it comes just days before the official unveiling of the statue to the club’s greatest servant – Roy Sproson…”
