Get well soon Pete Williams!
The official Port Vale Supporters Club have disclosed that Chairman Pete Williams has suffered a stroke and we at OVF would like to pass on our very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
Our thoughts are with Pete and his family at this difficult time…
A short statement from the Supporters Club says:
Port Vale Supporters’ Club Chairman Pete Williams has been admitted to hospital again having suffered a stroke for the second time in 10 days. It is also understood that Pete is being monitored for a blood clot close to his heart.
Our thoughts are with Pete and his family at this difficult time and we would ask that all supporters wishing to contact the Supporters’ Club at this time are asked not to bother Pete or his family by phone or visiting them and instead to email: [email protected]
Anyone wishing to send get well wishes to Pete can do so via the same email or by posting cards to:
Mr Peter Williams, 23 Stafford Avenue, Clayton, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 3BN
We will, of course, update fans on Pete’s condition in the coming days.
OVF believes that all Vale fans owe Pete and the Supporters Club an enormous debt of gratitude for their unstinting efforts to both keep Port Vale alive and to give the club a brighter, more secure future.
We hope that Pete makes a speedy and full recovery.
All Vale fans are very welcome to add their comment to this story and the best wishes will be passed on to the Supporters Club.
