Adams rues Vincent suspension
Micky Adams says that the team will “miss” Ashley Vincent on Saturday as the in-form winger serves a suspension.
Ashley’s pace is a real threat and we’ll miss him…
Vincent was booked for a handball incident and will now miss the game against York City after picking up five bookings.
Youngster Ryan Lloyd would be a like-for-like replacement for Vincent but Adams may be reluctant to throw the youngster in from the start. If so, Chris Shuker and new signing Sean McAllister may come into the reckoning while Rob Taylor may also be an option if Doug Loft is fit to play in the left-back position.
Adams told the press: “Ashley’s pace is a real threat and we’ll miss him.
“Both wingers have been doing well, so it’s disappointing he’ll be suspended.
“But we’ll cover for him as best we can, and obviously it presents an opportunity for somebody else.
“John McCombe will also be back from suspension, so we’ll get one back and lose another.”
