Vale coach linked with Wimbledon post?
Current Port Vale coach Rob Page is currently the favourite to become the next Wimbledon manager according to the Hounslow Chronicle.
Wimbledon sacked manager Terry Brown in September and are in the market for a new boss. Now, the Hounslow Chronicle is reporting that Page is the “shock favourite” to land the role.
Page, who earlier this season was linked with the Wales U21 role, is currently listed as favourite with bookies Sky Bet ahead of fellow front-runners Neal Ardley, caretaker Simon Bassey and Lee Bradbury.
Page has arguably played a major role in Vale’s revival this season after he replaced Geoff Horsfield as Vale’s first-team coach and losing a key member of the backroom staff would be a big blow for the Valiants, especially as it is unlikely that the administrators will allow any funds to replace him.

He has achieved UEFA A and B License qualifications and originally joined Vale as youth team coach before his promotion to the first team in the summer.
