Adams: this award is for ‘everyone’
Micky Adams has praised “the people who don’t normally grab the headlines” for their contribution after he was made the League Two manager of the month for September.
This is a nice reward for everyone who has worked hard for the good of the club, both on and off the pitch
Adams told the official Port Vale website: “This has been a very difficult time for everyone at Port Vale and this is a nice reward for everyone who has worked hard for the good of the club, both on and off the pitch.
“That includes my coaching staff, all of the administration staff and the people who don’t normally grab the headlines. It’s important that everyone recognises their contribution too. I also thank the supporters, who have been magnificent since the start of the campaign.”
Commenting on Tom Pope’s player of the month award, Adams added: “I’m delighted for Tom and I think everyone can see that he has a renewed spark this season. He’s fitter than I’ve ever seen him, he’s hungry for goals and he looks confident every time he shoots. Long may that continue – I think he’s a very worthy winner.”
