“Best I’ve seen in a long while…”
Micky Adams was understandably delighted with his side’s performance after the 6-2 thrashing of Rotherham United and that the Vale’s forward play was the “best I’ve seen in a long while.”
Adams said he was “particularly proud” of the game but he was anxious “not to build it up to something it isn’t.”
It was three points against a very good side and we got off to a fantastic start
“It was three points against a very good side and we got off to a fantastic start,” he told BBC Radio Stoke.
“The forward play was the best I’ve seen in a long time… and the first forty five minutes was probably the best football Vale fans have seen in a while.”
Adams also reserved praise for four-goal forward Tom Pope saying the striker was “reaping the rewards of a good pre-season.”
