Ryder asks for another 24 hours
The Sentinel is reporting that potential owner Keith Ryder has asked for a further 24 hours to complete his deal – but the club’s administrators have not revealed if they have accepted his request.
Supporters Club chairman Pete Williams told the newspaper: “He told me that Mr Ryder has asked for an extra 24 hours.
“The deal is ready to go and the money is in place. He just wants a bit more time to complete the deal.”
Gerald Krasner, of Begbies Traynor, told the newspaper: “We are still working on things as we speak, but there will be no further comment.”
No points deduction
In other developments, it has been confirmed that the Valiants would not suffer a further points deduction should they start the new season in administration.
However, there are still doubts about whether the Football League will allow Vale to complete their summer transfer business.
Player’s contracts will not be formally agreed until the takeover of the club is completed.
However, the Sentinel claims that The Football League would be likely to relax its rules due to the circumstances and allow at least some of those who have shaken hands on new deals since the end of the season to play.
