Report: Council will meet to raise ‘serious questions’ about Vale’s administrators?
An anonymous source at Stoke-on-Trent city council has reportedly told citizen journalism blog Potteries Eye that the council are set to meet to raise “serious questions” about the way in which Port Vale FC has been administered.
The council provided funds to enable Vale to enter administration with Vale administrator Bob Young quoting the costs so far at around £450,000, while a report in the Sentinel claimed the figure was nearer £1m.
According to Potteries Eye, the council are upset at delays to the takeover and quote an anonymous councillor as saying: “This is not looking good, not looking very good at all. Serious questions need to be asked of the whole process if this thing does go pear-shaped, especially the role of the administrator who it appears has let Keith Ryder call all the shots.”
According to Potteries Eye, which lists the meeting agenda, the meeting will take place on August 13th.
