Third bidder enters the frame
Administrator Bob Young has said that another bidder has expressed interest in a takeover – and the new bidder was the group or individual who lost out to Keith Ryder when the club’s preferred bidder was named back in March.
“I saw another interested party on Saturday,” Young told the Sentinel. “They seem keen and are promising action this week.”
Young has not closed the door on Ryder, but admits the longer the wait goes on for the Lancashire buisnessman to pay up, the less likely his deal is to happen.
“I’ve really no idea whether Keith is still interested,” he added, “but it always seems to be ‘jam tomorrow’ with him and I have run out of patience.
“I still find it confusing that he hasn’t paid the money he needs to pay when he gave us £60,000 towards the payroll.
“I maintain that he’s serious, but it’s all gone very quiet on that front.
“I’ve now talked to three other parties and I know that they all have the wherewithal to complete the deal if they want to. We will find out more this week.”
