Surgery blow for luckless Haldane
Winger Lewis Haldane has undergone a “minor” operation which will rule him out of Vale’s pre-season schedule.
Haldane had scar tissue from his left ankle removed. According to a report on the official Port Vale website, the tissue was hampering Haldane’s recovery from an operation to repair a double fracture of his leg.
The winger has had bad luck with injuries since joining the Valiants. In 2010, he suffered an allergic reaction to an insect bite which sidelined him for several weeks in the summer.
Then, just after he’d recovered his fitness, he sadly suffered a double fracture to his leg during Vale’s JPT game with Tranmere in August 2011 and missed the remainder of last season.
OVF wishes Lewis a full and speedy recovery
