Adams wants to add 'another couple of players'
In an interview with the official Port Vale website, manager Micky Adams has indicated that he’d like to bring in two more new signings.
Adams told the website that he was happy with the new signings commenting that: “I am happy with the quality that we have brought into the football club. As I have stated previously, we did lose out on a couple of people who chose not to join, but the six boys we have taken on permanently have fitted in very well. They have good personalities and look decent players as well, so we are pleased with that”
However, Adams also expects to add at least two more new faces to his squad saying: “We still think we are a couple of bodies short in certain areas, but we are working on that.
“Come the start of the season I would hope that we will have another couple of players to get excited about.”
The Valiants have been joined in training by forwards Liam Dickinson and Tadhg Purcell who could both join the team on a permanent basis.
But with Vale noticeably short of cover on the left-side of defence, Adams could also be targeting another defender in addition to strengthening his attack.
