Adams bullish about rebuilding Vale squad
Micky Adams has said that rebuilding Port Vale’s depleted squad “is hardly the biggest challenge of my career” and that the situation is “is nothing new to me.”
Adams is unable to add new names until Keith Ryder’s bid is formally accepted by the Football League but the Vale boss told the Sentinel he is still monitoring players.
“I’m not an inexperienced manager and losing players you would rather keep is nothing new to me,” Adams told the Sentinel.
“We will try to replace those who have left and rebuild the squad when we can, but this is hardly the biggest challenge of my career – managers face these problems all the time.
Although I have been talking to players, we can’t sign anyone until we are out of administration.”
