OVF donates two month’s advertising income
OVF has donated two month’s worth of advertising income to the Supporters Club hardship fund, which aims to help Port Vale FC with paying staff and player wages.
The fighting fund was set up to help meet the operating costs of the club during administration and as a Port Vale fans website, OVF wanted to ‘do our bit’ to assist the fund.
OVF founder Rob Fielding said: “Several of the team are exiled Valiants and are unable to be there in person to donate to bucket collections. So, we felt we could help out by donating our advertising income.
“As a not-for-profit site, all our advertising revenue usually goes into meeting our hosting costs. However, we will pay the hosting costs out of admin staff donations for the next couple of months and pass on our advertising revenue to the fighting fund.
“OVF is not flush with cash, but to mangle a phrase from a popular supermarket – ‘every little helps’ save the Vale.”
