Yates: We’re no quitters
Right-back Adam Yates concedes that the team are missing loan pair Jennison Myrie-Williams and Guy Madjo but has insisted the players will do all they can to “get back on track.”
Speaking to the Sentinel after the Valiants lost three games in a row, Yates commented: “There’s no way we’ve given up.
“Sometimes the fans criticise players individually and collectively and say we’re not bothered.
“But that’s not the case because it hurts me when we lose games of football and I know for a fact it hurts everyone in our dressing room.
“There’s no chance of us giving up because we’re not quitters and there are more than 60 points to play for, so why would we?
“We have missed Jennison and Madjo and certainly that’s the case with Jennison who made a difference to us formation-wise.
“But with the injuries we’ve got at the minute we’ve been restricted in being able to do that. We’ve got a big enough squad to cope, though, and we have to do it.”
