Dean Glover has told the Sentinel that he hopes to give a number of young players a run in the Vale first-team.
Young midfielder Danny Edwards and Luke Chapman plus defender Paul Dixon are all pushing for a place and Glover told the newspaper: “They have done exceptionally well and they stand out at the level they have been playing at.
“With the reserve games coming up we’ll have to see how they get on and try to get them involved with the first team more often.
“They are performing exceptionally well at the moment, so it’s a case of how the first team are doing.
“If we are doing well, then we can throw a couple of these lads in. But it’s hard trying to bed kids in when the team isn’t doing well.
