Port Vale appoint Lee Sinnott as new manager
Port Vale appoint Lee Sinnott: Port Vale FC have officially announced the appointment of Lee Sinnott as the club’s new manager.
Former Bradford City, Crystal Palace and Oldham Athletic player Sinnott has been successful while in charge of non-league side Farsley Celtic and this will be his first opportunity to manage in the Football League.
Following his appointment, Sinnott told the official Port Vale website: “I am delighted and honoured to become the Port Vale manager”
“It is already obvious to me there is a great deal of pride and passion among the Vale supporters and it my aim to bring them success.
“I play a style of football that wins games. I will change systems and players to achieve the right results.”
Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt added: “We believe we have attracted one of the best up-and-coming young managers in the game.
“His track record in non-league football is excellent and we are delighted to give him his first job in league football.
“We hope this is the dawn of a new era at the club.”
The decision for Port Vale appoint Lee Sinnott comes after Martin Foyle left the Valiants following a poor start to the season. Sinnott will now attempt to turn around the fortunes of the side in League One.
