Striker in by Thursday?
Internet reports suggest Martin Foyle is in talks with a striker who could sign on loan as early as Thursday.
Several football websites report that Foyle believes a loan signing is now ‘essential’ and claim that the Vale manager is ‘locked in talks’ with a forward. They also report that Foyle hopes to conclude a deal by Thursday.
Foyle is desperate to provide cover for striking duo Nathan Lowndes and Billy Paynter – particularly as first team strikers Hector Sam and Lee Matthews are both injured.
Foyle has been given the go-ahead to bring in a new face on loan and is now reportedly very close to agreeing a deal.
