Port Vale want £350,000 for Dave Hibbert
The Valiants have arranged a date for a Football League transfer tribunal with Preston North End. The clubs will meet with league officials to set the fee for striker Dave Hibbert’s move from Vale Park to Deepdale.
The teenage striker controversially decided to leave the Vale despite being offered a two year contract.
Hibbert claimed that he wanted a guarantee of first-team football at Vale Park, before he revealed that he had accepted a three year contract from the Championship side.
It is understood that Preston had offered £65,000 in a series of installments for the teenager, while Vale, who have schooled the player for ten years in their junior ranks, are believed to want around £350,000 for the forward.
The tribunal date has now been set for September 5th.
