Birchall hours from first cap
Chris Birchall is set to follow Tony Rougier in becoming only the second Port Vale player this Millennium to take part in a senior, full International match as he prepares to line-up for Trinidad and Tobago this weekend
But Birchall, like Rougier during his spell at Vale Park, will be expected to line-up for the Trinidad and Tobago side in their World Cup qualifying game against Panama in Port of Spain on Saturday.
The Vale youngster has played three friendly warm-up games for T&T and has reportedly impressed in a central midfield role.
Now, he could make his full debut alongside Trinidad legend Dwight Yorke, Crewe goalkeeper Clayton Ince and Wrexham duo Dennis Lawrence and Carlos Edwards.
