Football fans will get another chance to Valiant cult hero Ron Futcher in action, after the veteran forward was pencilled in to take part in a charity match.
Futcher – who was part of Vale’s successful 1989 promotion side alongside Darren Beckford – earned cult status at Vale Park. Futcher scored nineteen goals as the Vale were promoted through the Play-Offs.
Futcher will be turning out for a Bradford Pro-Celebrity team on the 30th May in a match to raise funds for cash-strapped Bradford City. Futcher will line-up alongside other Bradford legends including Stuart McCall, John Hendrie and Wayne Jacobs.
The game takes place at Valley Parade – kick-off 1pm – admission is a minimum £5.
